We have been to visit Monet's garden in Giverny and were first in the queue in the morning and still, half an hour later, it was crowded mainly by busloads of Japanese. A bit like the experience in Sissinghurst. I agree that those gardens are beautiful but I find them so overrated. We visited le jardin d'Angelique, the same day and it was so different: a wonderful garden, tranquil but no crowds.
It must be Monet's garden!
